BSG on Facebook

The e-Communications division of BSG will strive to educate students and to promote conversation between BSG and Bucknell students via modern technological media. Through the judicious use of websites such as Facebook, YouTube, and the BSG website, e-Communications will better educate students on important University happenings as well as solicit feedback from them. The feedback will enable BSG to make better decisions on University affairs that impact the lives of each and every student.

Join in on the conversation!

Recent Updates

Current Projects and Motions

  • Bison Pollsters.

The groundwork has been laid for the realization of this project, in which a random sample of the student body will be selected to serve as a bona fide source for BSG to better serve the campus community by having the ability to ask the representative sample about issues on campus and act accordingly.

  • Bisonpedia.

This project, which hopes to serve as a guidebook of assistance to you and your student group about how things work at the University, has been researched but has no updates as of yet.

  • Bucknell Course Review (BCR).

The goal of this project is to provide a legitimate and accurate venue for students to rely on information concerning faculty and course selection is still in the research phase, but still moving forward.

  • Dining Services Review Poll.

This Project has been completed. Analysis of the review is now being done, so look next week for the results.

  • The “let’s talk” Campaign.

This will better allow for BSG to communicate to the student body through venues such as youtube.com and Facebook to make it easier for students to educate themselves on campus issues.

  • The Readership Tactic.

This was recently passed in BSG Congress. BSG now officially supports a program of bringing a mini-newspaper to campus to be distributed daily to the student body as a prerequisite to the Plan for Bucknell. Which program to be used is still under discussion.

  • Today@Bucknell.

The one-stop shop Magazine is in the preliminary stages of being developed. We are currently working with departments and groups on campus and will hopefully be found in your mailbox soon.

  • The Wallet-Size “Know Your Rights” Card.

This proposal will be brought to BSG next Sunday, so look next week for an update on this initiative.

  • Webcams in the Gym.

Hope to provide the student body with a way of knowing whether you will get a machine when you get to the gym is being brought to BSG next week and has already been discussed with upper administration. Privacy and monetary issues are still being looked into.
